Dosatron Operating Principle
Installed in the water supply line, the Dosatron is driven by water flow and the motor responds directly to the volume of water passing through it. At higher water flows, the motor will move more quickly and at lower flows it will move more slowly. This makes the dosing pump volumetric. The motor drives the dosing piston such that additive is continuously injected at the set dose rate. The Dosatron works with water flow to provide accurate proportional dosing.
