Maintaining your Dosatron shouldn’t be complicated—and with the right Dosatron spare parts,  it isn’t. Whether you're a grower, facility operator, or any industry professional relying on accurate chemical dosing, proper Dosatron maintenance ensures long-lasting performance, consistent accuracy, and minimal downtime.

Dosatron offers three primary maintenance solutions designed to match your usage level and service interval: Mini‑Maintenance Kits, Seal Kits, and Rebuild Kits. Each kit is engineered to simplify upkeep and extend the life of your injector—without sending your unit in for service.

Why Dosatron Maintenance Matters

Routine maintenance prevents issues like worn seals, reduced suction, chemical buildup, and flow disruptions. Best practices include replacing O‑rings, plunger seals, and check valve components every 6–12 months, disassembling the injection stem to replace seals, and inspecting your suction hose for cracks or stiffness.

Whether your injector “isn’t clicking,” “isn’t drawing,” or simply needs preventative servicing, these simple steps keep your Dosatron operating like new.

Dosatron Maintenance Kits

1. Mini‑Maintenance Kit

Recommended: Every 6–12 months

The Mini‑Maintenance Kit is perfect for routine upkeep, especially for growers and operators who follow a regular maintenance schedule. It includes essential wear‑and‑tear parts like O‑rings, seals, springs, a check valve cone, and Dosa‑Lube to keep seals moving smoothly.

What’s typically included:

  • Plunger seal
  • Check valve cone & cone O‑ring
  • Check valve spring
  • Top guide
  • Dosa‑Lube

Designed for easy, tool‑free servicing, these kits allow even non‑technical users to complete maintenance confidently.

2. Seal Kit

Recommended: Every 12 months

The Seal Kit is ideal for annual service and contains all seals and components required for a full lower-end refresh. It restores your injector’s suction and dosing accuracy by replacing worn O‑rings, seals, and check valve parts.

These kits ensure the injector stays in peak condition without requiring special tools.

3. Rebuild Kit

Recommended: Every 24–36 months

For long-term reliability, the Rebuild Kit provides a complete restoration of your Dosatron by replacing both:

  • Piston Kit (Upper‑end service)
  • Seal Kit (Lower‑end service)

This kit is the best option for heavily used injectors or systems experiencing performance drop-offs. It includes full instructions for a thorough rebuild.

Key Steps in Dosatron Maintenance

Regular servicing typically takes only a few simple steps:

1. Safety First

Turn off the water supply, relieve pressure, and wear proper PPE such as gloves and goggles since components may contain concentrated chemicals.

2. Replace Seals & O‑Rings

Swap out plunger seals, check valve O‑rings, and injection stem O‑rings to prevent leaks and suction issues.

3. Service the Injection Stem

Remove the suction hose nut, disassemble the injection stem, and replace the O‑rings on both the stem and sleeve.

4. Clean or Replace Check Valve Components

Remove the check valve assembly, replace worn parts like springs and cones, and ensure proper seating.

5. Inspect & Replace the Suction Hose

If the hose is cracked or flared, trim or replace it to maintain proper chemical draw.

6. Reassemble & Test

Reassemble components carefully, aligning notches and tightening by hand. Flush with clean water and verify operation

Troubleshooting & Cleaning Tips

  • Not Clicking? Inspect the piston for wear.
  • Not Drawing? Check for hose cracks or debris in the check valve.
  • Cleaning: Soak parts in a mild 1:1 vinegar–water solution to remove buildup, or use our Dosaklean cleaning solution for a more effective and equipment‑safe clean.
  • Winterizing: Flush with water, then drain and fully dry the unit before storage.
